Support

How can we help?

Pyrite CAD is made by one developer who reads every message.

The user manual is built into the app. Open a design and choose View → User Manual. It explains every tool with pictures and short videos, in English and Czech.

Questions, bugs and ideas: write to contact@pyritecad.com.

Please include your iPad model, the iPadOS version and the app version (it is shown on the welcome screen). If something goes wrong with a design, attach the file – share it from the Files app.

Beta testers: take a screenshot in the app and tap Share Beta Feedback, or use Send Beta Feedback in the TestFlight app.

Frequently asked

Do I need an Apple Pencil?

No. Turn on View → Settings → Without Apple Pencil → Draw with finger: one finger draws and selects, two fingers move the view. With a Pencil it is faster – the Pencil draws while your fingers move the view.

Which iPads does it run on?

Any iPad with iPadOS 18 or later. Large assemblies are smoothest on iPads with an M-series chip.

Where are my designs saved?

In the Files app – on your iPad or in iCloud Drive, wherever you saved them. Pyrite CAD has no account and no cloud of its own, so back up the same way you back up other files.

How do I undo?

Tap the screen with two fingers to undo and with three fingers to redo, or use the ↶ ↷ buttons in the bottom-left corner.

A fillet or shell fails. What now?

The message offers the largest value that works, for example “Use 2.4 mm”. Some combinations are beyond what the geometry kernel can build; a smaller value or filleting edges in separate steps usually helps.

Can I open files from Fusion 360, SolidWorks or Onshape?

Yes, through STEP or IGES – they arrive as real solids you can keep editing. STL, OBJ and 3MF meshes can be imported too.

How do I get my part to a 3D printer or CNC machine?

Export STL or 3MF for printing, STEP for other CAD tools, and G-code from the CNC milling and turning tools. Always check tool paths on your machine before cutting.
